    Doug Hardy was my tattooer and did a fantastic job on an Ed Hardy Japanese flash. He has exceptional attention to detail and was extremely accommodating and polite. Doug has a super-light hand which made for a relaxing experience. I almost felt like I was going to fall asleep through most of it. Although the shop closes at the end of this year, Doug will be continuing to tattoo. Keep a lookout for him! I’ve been getting tattooed for over a decade, and this was one of the easiest tattooing experiences I’ve had. I will definitely be hitting Doug up to work on some original pieces when he is settled at his new spot next year! I’m grateful to have finally been tattooed here! San Francisco and the tattoo world are losing an important landmark.

    I had such a great experience at this shop. The staff is very welcoming and environment was clean & professional. I enjoyed my time spent there and extremely happy with my new reaper tattoo by Doug Hardy.

    I will never forget this place. Tattoo City is filled with an incredible energy and a deep love for art. Dan and I are beyond grateful to have experienced getting tattooed here. The atmosphere, the music, and the people just wow. There’s truly nothing like this place. We are extraordinarily honored to be Doug Hardy’s final two clients at Tattoo City, Doug’s tattoo technique is next level no doubt, I’ve never seen a line so damn fine and to experience it in this legendary space where the Hardy family created countless stories that shaped this era. From stealing my mom’s Ed Hardy clothes as a kid to now having tattoos on my body it’s just wild and crazy. Thank you, thank you, thank you for letting us be a part of this epic story. Tattoo City will forever live in our hearts 3 and back of my thigh!!! Doug, you’re the sweetest, and you rock!!! We love you!!!

    This is my 3rd tattoo with Doug and he crushed it as usual! Always patient and thoughtful with the design process and took time to assemble a great plan. Worked quickly and painlessly — 3 hours flew by! As he said 32 years of experience will do that! The shop is such an iconic spot and will definitely be missed when it closes. For a piece of San Francisco tattoo history, definitely visit Doug and the team. You won’t be disappointed.

    I couldn’t have asked for a better tattoo experience than the one I had with Doug Hardy. It was the highlight of 2024 for me. He is an exceptional human being who is very skilled at his trade. The “second skin” after care he uses makes the after care part very easy.

    absolutely loved this place. got my first tattoo on a spontaneous decision and they were super quick with walk ins! artists were very kind and loved the atmosphere inside the shop!

    Doug tattooed myself and my partner , small tattoos, but definitely a good experience .. very humble and polite.. thanks again. Which I lived closer I would definitely schedule a session.
